    Laser disc players seem to die from old age (laser diodes fail I think) so working models command some money from collectors.

    You might think VCRs are worthless but thrift stores have millions of old kids VHS tapes for very little so they are a cheap way of keeping the kids amused connected to an old CRT TV.



    I still have my old VHS and SVHS decks, plus I purchased a pro rackmount JVC SVHS unit for my old analog video editing collection. If anybody runs into any old JVC Pro decks (BR-xxxxxx) that have an RS232 or RS422 interface add-on let me know.
