    I don't recommend them for shipping, or for show and tell, but liquor store boxes make great card holders, if you'll get the ones with all the cardboard bottle holding slats still there. They're ready made card holders which usually hold the card by the metal bracket, basically hanging free there, and leaving the socket or plug showing so you can readily distinguish the video cards from network cards etc.
