greetings from florida. you are correct about the cylinder heads being called cast aluminum. it is actually irony cast being that it has steel on the aluminum. And im sure you know or you will when you pick one up, but not all heads are aluminum. Also, around here the yards are paying 10 cents a pound (US).
Just a little side note, if you are buying complete engines, look into selling to a
core buyer. they buy complete motors, ac compressors, alternators, etc, and pay way more than scrap weigh price.
