    You will really want to read the breakdown threads for the items that you have, so you can maximize the profit from each piece you breakdown. There is a breakdown thread on the forum for almost everything. Also check out the buyers section. There are many buyers that pay more than scrap value for working components. There are also buyers that may pay much better than your yard and will be worth shipping stuff to.
    Some initial research will save you a lot of time and mistakes as you get started. There are also a ton of smart experienced people on here that will be happy to answer questions if you are unable to find it in the archives.
