If you are getting into the E-Waste business, you might want to check your state laws [DEHEC] that govern such business. There are also Fed Laws [EPA].
The main thing most of them have a problem with is CRTs or Computer Monitors, as they have lead and other toxins in them.
Many states are cracking down on these items and if you get caught handling such items in an "illegal" manner, you could face some pretty good fines.
Just be careful.
