Hey everyone,
Just want to say hello. I am new to scrapping. I am really only interested in doing this as a hobby and to keep myself busy while possibly making a few bucks doing so. I work nights so I have found that on my way home I run into a ton of potential scrap around the community. I have always been into buying and reselling (toys, video games, books etc) but sometimes times are slow and sometimes I just don't have the money to buy. All of this has led me here. I have done some research and believe I may have a good beginners grasp on how things work. It has been fun and exciting just reading about different metals, and escrap and the potential it can have to pull in some cash. I don't plan on getting a truck or anything, as I am most interested in smaller things and saving them up for longer periods. I want to start small and learn as much as possible before I start getting over my head (which I can do pretty easily). Im gonna keep my eye out around town, but I have a tool room filled with copper/brass/steel screw, nuts, bolts etc along with some old out of order electric tools and a vacuum that i have been wanting to get cleaned out for a long time. I also have a 50 inch Plasma TV that I picked up years ago hoping to get fixed, but it would be too expensive. I think tomorrow I am going to start sorting the tool room and see what happens! I hope to gain knowledge and have fun around here...looking forward to learning from some people who have much experience!
