The income is very sporadic with long dry spells, especially in the beginning. But if you can budget and not just spend as it comes in, you'll do well.

People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

I can imagine. I am wondering if its better if you have access to high population citys? Here in Sacramento CA we have a lot of smaller semi hi pop citys very close outside of Sacramento.

I think you have some very good contacts going if your still going to college. Read this link, get the cards then start networking with family and friends and people at the college. Pretty soon the scrap will start coming. The college kids are always building/rebuilding and repairing computers and laptops.
Lot of parts going thru a college if they have a computer course. There's your money and we have the buyers.

Yes I didnt even think of utilizing my college. About 30 to 35 thousand students attend my college and almost everyclass room has computers. Most of them are old so im guessing they probably have tons of scrap. Thank you for the link I will read all of it!

Well said. But to add to what Mick said. I have gone full time on my scrapping / ebay business and have done very well, make enough money for my family of 5 to live on, its a hard way to live but it will get you through the good times and the bad times. You will get out of your business what you put into it. Blood, sweat and tears. If you encounter all of those then you know your doing it right. 16 hour days get old after awhile, but whatever it takes to keep the bills paid is what i will do.

    Welcome from Kansas City
I buy and sell all types of scrap and escrap. I buy specialty and hard to sell escrap. I buy resale items. PM me or contact me at jghilino@hotmail.com
I AM ACTIVELY BUYING ESCRAP OF ALL TYPES. BOARDS, RAM, CPUS AND MUCH MORE
