Long time in the surplus/asset recovery business - buying/selling JUNK (I like to call it, with all capital letters - hey, it pays so well, it gets my respect!
Mostly electronic test equipment, lab equipment and a bit of medical stuff here/there.
Ran successful JUNK businesses in both Northern California and Las Vegas.
Recently began disassembly for gold recovery - grabbed a few ounces from the 'extras' found in computers and other non-selling equipment over the last 8 months.
Still involved in the business, but not as actively as I have just moved to Ecuador (got tired of the politics and economic garbage and decided to make the move). My Las Vegas business is still there, now managed by a 'real' scrapper - a guy that likes the sheet metal more than the big ticket items (I am doing what I can to train him better....!)
Also, most likely will get involved with some recovery here, though plans are sketchy at the moment - there is a lot of ewaste around, just have to tap into the stream!
