I notice theres a small gold metal patch on the glass under where the wires are soldered on, Gold.

I'm just putting this here as I found these in a few TV's & the one I have has got gold metal wires. Its a rectanglar flat metal box like a crystal, 'cept flat on the board.
Its a K6266K KB-L5 SAW device http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Surface_acoustic_wave
Its got the glass plate inside it except it has a really nice pattern engraved into it, like the surface of a IC chip. This ones square, but the one I have is a trianglular dart shaped maze pattern.
It seems the other mystery parts a SAW device too, same except its in a round shaped metal can.
