Actually the technical nameof ABS plastic is Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene. Because of its durability it is used in Air-Soft Guns. If we compare it with general plastic it holds its shape when it is molded by heat, chemical resistant, and is not affected by temperature. There are so many products which has been made with the help of ABS Plastic Golf Club Heads, Car Wheel Covers, LEGO Blocks, Bicycle & Motorcycle Helmets, Water pipe (Plumbing) and Electrical Conduit, Bathroom Shower Doors, Volleyballs,Pool Liners, Toys,Furniture, Outdoor Playground Equipment, etc,

Volleyballs are not made of ABS, they are made of vinyl or leather. Pool liners are typically made of vinyl. Most plumbing is PVC, not ABS.

Most of the stuff on his list are #2 plastics ( toys, etc). ABS is too brittle for most of those applications. Also, most of those items are blow molded, and I have never heard of blow molded ABS.
