Yeah I buy these sometimes and get about 40 dollars in electric cords. I get a lot of electric motors out of mixers, blenders, can openers and things like that.

At $50 for that quantity, it just amounts to a treasure hunt. Easy to break even, and the sky is the limit on the high end. I like treasure hunts at that price.

Don't forget that there is value in the empty gaylord as well.

At a yard sale about 5 years ago, there were two truck side mirrors in a free box, I asked what they were from and she said but i can't remember now, and took them thinking list em on ebay, but that was about the same time I'd had all i wanted of it, and they've sat out there ever since. I was goofing around the other day and decided to look inside one. After carefully prying the mirror loose, and prying and breaking the plastic shell away, there was a bit of wiring, twin elec motors, and an alum. frame (in two pieces). Took about ten minutes to break it down. Not a huge discovery, just a little tidbit for inquiring minds ; )

I would buy it. You may brake even but 50 is not a huge risk and you could make out pretty good so I feel its worth the risk.

picture a strong cardboard box, 4' high sidewalls that is the size of (and typically sits on top of) a standard 48" x 48" pallet. They are the cats meow for both storing and shipping alot of scrap items.

And yeah, I've lost more than $50 on a hand of blackjack. I'd snap buy that box without even seeing it (assuming I trusted the seller to describe it accurately).

Everyone thinks christmas lights are only good for the copper wire. Well i scraped out a fake tree last year, it had 1000 bulbs on the strings. Well i sold the 1000 bulbs as replacement bulbs on ebay for $80 by splitting them out into 100 bulb lots. The copper wire only brought in $20, plus $5 in shred for the tree itself. I wouldnt hesitate to pay $50 for a gaylord of mixed household goods/electronics.
