i wouldnt offer a third of it. that stuff has no resale value, its junk!! i would wait about a week and offer the guy $60 bucks and tell him you'll do him a favor by recycling it for him. NO one will buy those servers, too outdated. scrap value for those servers is from $10-20 a piece.

Scrap value on the lot looks like about $60 plus whatever else you can squeeze out of it.....

You sound like a "trusted advisor"!

What type of profit margin do you typically observe? You're awesome. I love the sales approach.

We purchase laptop computers and many components for greater than scrap value. We offer a shipping reimbursement program.replies

I think the information is a little dated here.

Still though, $400 for that lot!? Even back in 2012, that seems nuts!

I agree. The only thing of value is maybe the Cisco equipment...and then only if you had it set up as a lab kit....they would maybe bring $75-$100 as a kit.

Yeah, what they said. And the 1gb of RAM is probably 2 or 4 sticks. of 512 or 256. Those servers will not operate with a single stick of RAM. It needs pairs, so the RAM has no resale value either. Not to mention that it is server RAM which has no chance of resale unless 2gb or larger.

Without seeing it, $60 would be my top price.

Chuckle... I suppose if the guy still has it, $20 would be a little high.
