Insulated al wire can come as acsr, acss or acc. Acsr and acss is generally for overhead power use. Acc wire is generally below ground use, bus connectors and jumpers. The steel
core wire prevents stretching when strung. All use EC or enamel coated wire. EC, when clean is 99 pure al and is one of the purest al scrap available. It will pay as clean al in most yards and more in others. We currently pay between .50 and .60 cents for clean ec wire and .15 to .25 cents for acc and shred price for any steel wire. The inulated al wire is generally a 65% recovery.
