lots of rhumors out there about China crashing and burning. their people are demanding better pay and more perks.
Sold a lot of iron at 80 a ton And didn't have much competition then probadly wouldn't hurt much if it went down for 6 months or so, get rid of the tweakers and other low life scum. Not to mention make it easier to get junk vehicles for a normal price again.

My dad always says "I bought a lot of steel at $30 a ton and still made a lot of money"
Prices unchanged for me on shred, SS up at Western Scrap in the Colorado Springs, Cu up a few cents as well.
According to Metal Bulletin scrap went up 5-10$ in the past few weeks. My gut feeling is its going to be stable for the month atleast. I couldnt imagine the market crashing to the point of serious losses in the immidiate future.
Never know with this market, used to be pretty cylic but who knows where its headed now a days

Holding steady here at $220 net ton for sheet iron

That's a nice price for sheet iron. It's up to $180 here.
If it wasn't for the $ in $crap, it would just be.....

Luckily the drop was 3/4 c not 1 1/2 c. 230$ to $215 ton. It makes a big difference when you're hauling several loads a week. I don't know about you all but gas is around 5$ a gallon in these parts.
This past Saturday, April 7th I got $265 ton for appliances.

Yep I just got .60 for it down from .65 in March. And I didn't have a ton and a half of it either time!
