Pooper scooper. As in dog poop. $10 per visit mostly, but up to $20 per visit depending on # of dogs & frequency of service.

So.... Yep, I drive a pickup around in neighborhoods where people clearly have more dollars than sense. Makes for some pretty sweet CurbCo at times.

I wondered if people really paid for the service ....good to know since I'm already cleaning up a fair amount of it anyway from my own mutts.

I work as an on-call personal assistant. I do odd jobs for clients - make airline appointments, phone calls, write letters and emails that they don't have time for or don't want to be bothered with- and often at the very last minute! Recently I wrote a humorous poem for an invitation. Sometimes I do research. Sometimes I pet sit - now I'm going to investigate the poop scooping angle.

In addition to that, I am writing a murder mystery - two of the characters are very unsavory - they are scrap metal thieves !

Retired. I do what I feel like until I'm tired of doing that. Then I go do something else. Then I take a break.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

So if you've got an idea for a new wire stripper or other tool of the trade that you'd like to turn into a revenue stream, let's talk.

Snodley (my ex partner) opened one of those up here, it's a big thing up in Ft Wayne where they have real, real nice housing additions. At least 2 companies up there.

Too many blue collar workers around here, Snodley just could not get it going good.
There is even some chemicals that when sprinkled on it (poo) will break it down a lot faster, what cannot be picked up.

I personally would wait till it snowed good then go out and spray paint them florescent orange,,,lol

Scrapette; You sound like a jack of all trades. You might be able to make some money by writing letters of introduction for scrappers on this forum to send to compainies asking for scrap or offers to buy e-waste or help people create fliers. You sound like your very talented. Just a thought.

Sometimes. But if I gave it too much thought, it'd drive me crazy.

I am a full time tax consultant. I got into scrapping when I had to figure out what to do with all our old, out of service computers. Got the bug and now enjoy doing that in my "spare time". Won't have much of that for the next three months.

I operate a back hoe at a transfer station. When I am not there I am at home scrapping what I found there. I have done many other jobs in my life and this one beats em all. My life revolves around scrapping pretty much every day. Let the scrap come to you.

I scrap as a side job/hobby. Cut grass full time so needed something to fill the void during off season. And now that I've started I see no reason to stop. Am now looking into starting an apiary.

I work in commercial construction. Mainly low slope roofing. I am constantly removing vandalized HVAC units, old equipment, old gutters, edging, coping, replacing rusted decking, etc.

I am a Landscaper in the summer and the company I work for is small, so nothing in the winter. I have been scrapping for a couple winters now and love the work. Looking to get into other hauling stuff. Hopefully things will take off this year with side landscaping jobs (already have three lined up) and there is still snow outside. I do anything that I can that makes me money and is worth my time.

I am a captain on a fire department in NJ. I have 20+ years in and got into scrapping as a way to supplement my retirement in 4 years. I thoroughly enjoy it.

ReUSeIt, my company for computer recycling is my full time job and main source of income (other than my husband's income of course). I was originally a teacher but got laid off a while back and decided this was a great source of income. It's also a lot of fun. My husband, user Drozenski on here, is a computer engineer during the day and does the scrapping as a side hobby when he isn't working.
