Some opinions on my current situation.

Since you are working a deal with the metal case guy, can you come to a deal where you get the escrap and he gets the cases?
It might mean that you are adding uyour own waste metal to it (to make up for the lost weight)

Since he's got a way to transport stuff and store it, and makes his money from Iron.it might be worth it.
I find there's no money in Iron, but there is in my time. Like, IF I add time to the Iron, there's money in it.....

All in all, not making money in my Iron and letting somebody else do it, and make their $ from it, leaves me more time to concentrate on nonferrous.

The only problem is someone else figuring out that they can make money from what you are doing, and then taking your source..
