    I do a lot of microwaves. I take into consideration a $5 avg scrap return on small countertop models and 10 on large undercabinet ones. This is from what i get at my yards. Some people get much better prices and that value could be 50% more. Parts sell better on the undercabinets. Be prepared to sit on some awhile though depending on the age/model.

    The transformers are almost always aluminum btw.
