I've been trying to do this for over a year but, health keeps getting in the way.

any one with any thoughts on this new center please feel free to chime in. All input is much appreciated.
    G'day olddude,

There does not appear to be a way of forwarding a reference to an existing post, so I'll try this method:
There might be some helpful info posted by scrappa2 (me) in the "introduce yourself" section under the
    posting headed G'day.

The key to our operation I feel is this:

    1. Friendship amongst our guys when they meet several times a week
    2. No cost labour
    3. Doing their bit for the environment

We are an NFP (not for profit) but I don't think there is any problem with an ewaste "business"
having volunteers to do the dismantling. We provide the meeting/dismantling location, personal
safety gear and heavy tools. They provide the labour and the ruckus. Then every month or so we
have a BBQ some drinks for the guys at no cost to them just to say thanks. Many Old Dudes get
bored sh*tless sitting on the porch in their rocker, and a task like ewaste salvaging is something
they enjoy. Our guys even bring their own tools!

I may have said this before - this model could be duplicated anywhere where there is an aging
population and ewaste is close at hand.

Best of luck in your endeavours.

    Cheers.

p.s. If you have not yet discovered this secret - Dismantling by unscrewing etc., is usually far
    quicker and safer than smashing.

Not sure how I would feel having guys working for free knowing the value of the ewaste
