    this won't be a popular addition but here goes: It will be a piece of cake if you have a police report. Attach a copy of that to your claim and you will get very few questions from the responsible party's insurance company. If you don't have a police report, you may get compensation, but you'll be fighting an uphill battle.



    It's just like any other vehicular accident: Get a police report.

    If the other party is unresponsive, take down their license plate number, get the police report, give it all to your insurance company and let them fight the battle for you.
