Quite possibly the best ever second post on this forum. Admin: give this guy some rep just for this post! I've used ecyclegroup quite a few times & never heard of this 2009 rule. Possibly that explains some things.

I figured the date thing was unknown. I looked everywhere and could not find it. I guess I don't understand their angle. Why not disclose that and save people from shipping them and ecycle having to pay to ship them. I guess is comes down to the $20.00 deal. They hope that the shipper will think they have 50.00 worth of stuff and then turn around and have 15.00 worth and won't get a check until they get to the 20.00. I assume also they don't just throw those old ones away, they have a buyer for those. I guess the real angle is if we don't know to look a the dates then we have no recourse when they say the dates are old, like my situation!!

Maybe a thing with all the recyclers is why the members are coming up short. No need to rebuild a cartridge for a printer that is going obsolete (2 yr. and more). There's a "new" printer come out every 3-4 months.

The only problem w/that theory is that some of them were accepted(the same type of cartridges for the same printers). I personally think it is a full on SCAM! There are too many stories out there where only half were accepted as "good". They know there is no way for us to prove otherwise.
