Prices are falling fast for next months ferrous market - Page 4

I just got a text message from my buyer here in Iowa and he said up $30 on shred

Pistone, Getting closer to the end of the month.. Whats your prediction for next month?

Shred is actually up 60$ ton here. Sitting nicely at $ 200.

Since we are so far from our market, slight changes to the prices make a big difference here.
Same with the exchange rate from US$ to the Kiwi$, thats stayed at NZ$ = US$0.81cents for the last 5 months.
NZ iron prices.
Heavy Steel NZ$240.00 = US$200
Lightgrade No.2 NZ$150.00 = US$120
Car Bodies NZ$90.00 = US$75

Right now I am hearing a strong sideways, so that means it will probably be up when its all said and done. Better than hearing a down market.

Got 205/ton today for light iron(shred)

Got 220 a ton today in central Florida. Very happy I sat on the pile for a few weeks.

195 for shred, 210 for clean car bodies, prices are going up

Up again next month. The winter bump is going to start to set in.

Price jumped here, 210/Ton at start of nov. and today at 230/Ton for shred.

well we ended up hauling the load to a different yard than we usually use today, it worked out for the better though, 2 tons of shred at $205, 2 tons of clean car bodies at $235

200 a ton and going up here in west FL.

Like I said in an earlier post market might be up in jan. not by more then 10 or 20 bucks. The scrap flow for dec was pathetic. It has to go up in my opinion.
