    I don't remember who said it, but by far the easiest way I have found to remove these things is to use the angle grinder on the underside of the board where the soldered legs stick out. I actually now do this with all of the motors and heatsinks etc on the boards, as it leaves the boards mostly whole.

    I have always hated broken boards.
