    Yours actually wasnt the bad info that I was talking about.....one guy said leave this type of work to 3rd world countries and that the wire was practically worthless at .05 cents/lb

    Yeah ... that would be me.

    Not trying to steer you wrong here Mike. It's just the best info i've got.

    As regards low grade computer wire:

    I stripped out a bunch by hand last winter in hopes of reducing the amount of insulation so that it would go as mid grade. Lol .. you know how they say you learn more from your failures than you do from your successes?

    You really should go see for yourself. Actual copper recovery percentage is pretty low.

    Same / same with power supplies. Break a few down by hand, add up the numbers, and see what you're making per hour.

    Really lieked the idea of processing them in bulk with a hammer mill.
