If you mean others learning...then the old dogs are learning a new trick. I already knew gold existed in such things. I'm a big fan of satellite parts for ewaste, whether boxes or the arm of the dish. I have a thing for gold an hard drives, what can I say.

Being as I'm up late..I'm likely missing the spirit of your post, do forgive me. It is a quarter of four here. :P

Oh an so I don't have to edit my above posts, several hours later...

When I said Projection screen tvs provide the chips, they do, just not all of them. Some do, some don't. Happy hunting!

Oh an this is what a DPL chip looks like..

The one with the dots is what the one with the screen sits on, usually attached to at lest a mid grade board that may or may not have gold on the corners. I didn't say they had a lot of gold, but gold there is.

The LNB (thing at the end of a dish set up with 3"eyes", for those of you that didn't know) if you crack that baby open it can contain board with gold also. Feel free to seek out past threads by yours truly with pictures even! Now that is for Directv I don't get a lot Dish stuff. What can I say...my sandbar prefers directv.

    Aurum, I apologize if I hijacked your thread, I didn't mean to..if I did there'd be a goat involved. Ask the Clubhouse...better yet, don't.

Hopefully there is some info in all this babble that may result in knowledge being gained. It did it's job..if not, well keep it to yourself, otherwise I'd be sad.
