My guess is we are dealing with a person who first language (and only apparently) is not American/English, sounds Asian.
Can't see where transportation from a local yard can cost .25 a lb.
If your getting .56 which sounds about right your total cost should be no more then .25/.30 unless your dealing in huge volume. Also most scrap yards think in terms of tons soooo $500 a ton may sound better to him. also I hope the white stuff your talking about is steel computer cases and not monitor plastic.
"anyone who thinks scrappin is easy money ain't doin it right!"
Sorry everyone. My English might be that of someone from second world country. But I'm sad to say English is my only langue. And I can't spell. I can take thing apart and sort. And my name is joe my daughter named is savannah. This these not only got hijacked but someone drive it off a cliff. I how this person jumped out first. I will put more every into writing instead of texting.
BTW I'm 29 I'm not stupid just challenged.

lol @ metal..that ain't right man. An that photo has been posted so much on here, it should get it's own post count.
To Joe aka Savannah, aka creator of a new language only Snapper knows...
Like I said in a previous post, we tease those we like here on the forums. So you sir must be well liked.
Stick with it, an in time you'll be giving all of us a hard time. I thank you for not taking it personal. These guys pick on me to at times, so don't worry we all get it at some point or another.
On a serious note, Just take your time posting, I see you post a lot using the app, an if your like the rest of us, small keypads an adult fingers don't mix.I will also you keep the text lingo to a minimum. It makes the old guys go nuts having to look up all that stuff. Ha ha! See that? I'm picking on the old folks now!
TTYL LOL.
Sirscrapalot - We may have driven the thread off the cliff, but it was a helluva ride!

My best advice would be for him to find a closer buyer or ship for a better return , said his current buyer is a few hours out . @ .25 lb for transport that's half your profit right there . Minimize or eliminate this transport cost and that will result in more profit .
Also make sure you sort and save up as much as you can to maximize returns . Post your location on your profile . Locals always help each other out . Someone in your area may know of a local buyer but there are buyers on here that will beat .56 lb on computer components . Good luck !

Joe glad you came back with the post explaining, gives me a reminder how I often speak and write without always thinking how I'm coming across to others. Kinda of a important part of communicating with others, especially when looking for answers and help. It's not all business here, we have a little fun, as life would just be plain boring other wise. Keep posting and stay with us.

Maybe the "white crap" he mentioned are keyboards and printers?
High on life. And glue.
I'm cool guys I can take a joke better then most. I usually pick on my self also. The white crap I'm referring to is. TV board. The low grade. I avg .56 I should get better yield next time. I made few mistake devalued few things I shouldn't have.
