The laptops I sell to a yard complete as they're a pain to strip down so I'd only pay about $1.50 each. Printers aren't worth squat here so they'll get busted up and chucked in the bin.
Sorry, I was going to keep my mouth shut but I cant...
Goatrutar do not put LCD screens in with shred. That is the most ridiculous thing I have heard. There are things in there that are hazardous things inside of them. If you can not recycle something in a green way please do not even take it!!! The PROPER way to have them recycled is one of two ways if screen is broken to stack them face to face with other broken screens and send them to a proper recycling company who can float the glass and clean them. The non cracked screens are sent to the same company or sometimes to another one, where the screens will be tested and if they work will be reused and the ones that don't are then go down a path where they are floated as well.
As I have said most people get into recycling to make money, but if you call your self a Professional or you do any kind of "volume" you are not just some person who is picking up cans on the side of the road!
I should stop but, well I do not want to even think about what else he does or what else ends up in the "shred" bin just to make the dollar..worries this **** out of me.
