    Some transformers, the 'double yellow one on the right, if you smack them in the center, they break in 1/2 and you can pull the Copper wire out by hand.
    Just a example, sorta like the microwave transformers, easy to pop open.

    By the look of it you simply don't have to time to do it. I find a similar one in PSU's, they get saved up till I get to the point I need some extra $ and have enough #2 Copper wire to sell, the extra helps the deal along.



    Anything smaller, like the rest of the transformers, small motors, floppy drive motor windings & induction coils get sold for 'Copper bearing Iron' $. It feels good to get rid of them, and get paid for it!
