Unless you have a lot of it it's not worth cutting the ends off. I mix some in w/ my #2 insulated and get $.90-something/lb. vs. $.60-something/lb. for the brass breakage cut-offs. Every yard is different though.

Then it's worth it to cut them off. Most of the chrome plated coax ends are brass too if you check.
