    When I opened one of my CRTs (to clean it), it used entirely copper wiring. The tube was a high quality panasonic one.



    I actually cut off a cord from a UPS recently, nice thick copper wire. Unfortunately, I don't know of any scrappers around here, so I always end up throwing nice copper heatsinks and wire in the garbage. It's a shame.
