    When I opened one of my CRTs (to clean it), it used entirely copper wiring. The tube was a high quality panasonic one.



    I actually cut off a cord from a UPS recently, nice thick copper wire. Unfortunately, I don't know of any scrappers around here, so I always end up throwing nice copper heatsinks and wire in the garbage. It's a shame.
    Shame on you for throwing away money. Even if your not scrapping on a regular basis. 5 gallon buckets or small totes do not take up much room, when they get full or you need the space haul them to the yard and get cash back. It's almost like going to an ATM.
