You would be far better offering free pickup and take any piece of junk people would give you, pushing recycling rather instead of landfill, than offer $1.00. By offering 1.00 you are showing a complete disconnect. It's almost an insulting gesture, either offer a competitive price or take items for free. Because you are just starting you really need to take some things apart and know exactly what they are worth.

By offering 1.00 for something that is worth 8-10.00 you are being excessively greedy and will not generate any volume. If we could buy bunches of computers for 1.00 we would all be rich.
