I believe it was the system that garnered their concern, not necessarily the individual components.
Enoch, it's a good idea to pick up a letterhead while you're at the pickup, especially for higher dollar, business, or gov't owned equipment, never can tell when you'll run into a check somewhere, best to have something showing you have rightful possession.
I've never had any problem when asking for something showing that I am in lawful possession, even on free pickups. They'll usually go type something up right with their company letterhead. I've picked up gov't equipment many times, across 2 or 3 states travel, and was always cautious about traveling with a truckload of computers that all had "Property of US Govenment" on em ; )
