The guy is obviously an @ss but you as the seller don't need to be one back.
You could have simply told him that the auction says that his item will be shipped in x days after receiving payment.
His second response was more than justified. This is the reason
eBay 99% of the time sides with the seller.
Be the better part of humanity, no need to be a jerk.
