There is usually an x or h shaped clamp that holds them to the motherboard, there is also a piece on the bottom of the motherboard that goes with them. It is best if you remove all of it from the motherboard and then completely reassemble it. Then you will have a complete heatsink/fan that has all of the parts needed for installation. Just in case the buyer dosent have all of the parts.
