    Also, you need DDR2 RAM for the D510.

    Max ram for a dell D510 laptop is 2 gbs 1 gb ddr2 sodimm pc5300 or lower per slot. We refurbish about 25 laptops and pc's a day at our office. Any questions I can help with let me know. I also have almost any type of memory 2gb or smaller in stock if some one needs it. 1gb ddr2 sodimm 7.50 each with free shipping.

    Yeah this particular laptop can only hold 2 sticks. I believe i have some ddr2 that it takes, so I will look in the am and if so, see if it will work. Thanks.

    Yeah, when I opened up the RAM area, it has a sticker or something that said to only use DDR2 ram.
