    I also think usps has gotten more strict over shipping such batteries air mail also. I seen FedEx doesn't allow potentially hazardous things shipped anyway but ground. But taped contacts solve the fire hazards.

    Thank goodness I found this thread. I recently have started to dabble in finding cell-phones to scrap and had no idea that this was even an issue. So thanks for asking the question AND the responses folks. Life-saver thread!! Literally!
