I had one called the Visual Commuter Computer. It came out in 1983, but I had a 1985 model that featured 24 lines of text. It was the first portable IBM compatible computer with an LCD screen. It was valued around $750.00, but I ended up donating it to a museum. It cost around $2000.00 when it was new.

It was the first portable computer purchased by a private college close to where I live. Needless to say donating back to them has paid huge dividends as I now do ALL of their computer recycling. the last load I got had 100+ fully functional Gateway Core 2 Duo machines. Doing the next right thing does pay off every once in a while...lol
There may a million better places to live than Iowa, but none of them are home!
