annnnd, I've got a pile of old carburetors out there which are mostly aluminum, and have not exactly been kept to museum standards, but (and I WILL have to verify this tomorrow) the metal bolts/screws in them haven't deteriorated so badly. Do you reckon the moisture and condensation(cold-hot-cold) from a water pump could have some effect?
I kind of doubt it as their both excellent conductors, but it has something to do with galvanic corrosion.
