    I think you'll find that "whack" was a well placed blow to the drives internal motor, rendering it entirely useless

    My thoughts exactly Bear. I clicked on the thread initially to tell him "^%*$ NO, don't scrap 'em". LOL. Until he pointed out the damage. Certainly worth trying out to see if they work, but a shame they didn't just do a multi wipe to overwrite the data. You could sell those all day long on ebay. Note to others, if you come across any working TB externals, sell!
