No it would not be magnetic. I expect the base metal to be brass. In person it appears to be gold plated. I haven't used my gold testing acids on it yet. I've been too busy to trying to heal. On that score I am doing well, all my labs are where they should be. No signs of rejection of the new kidney. I am feeling almost as good as I did before the transplant. Thanks to all on the forum for the support and the entertainment I get reading the post. Mike.

If it is gold plated, it could be plated over brass, copper, steel, kovar, aluminum or another metal.Originally Posted by miked
