The key thing is....refiners don't pay you nothing. They charge you to refine your boards and take a % of the metal. The buyers like my self or other scrap yards have to buy the boards send them in, pay the cost and find out how much metal they where able to recover.

Its a huge risk at times I know I just had a batch of motherboards run at $4.45 a pound due to gold drop and bunch of colored boards so I hope this next batch will come out better if not..I will have to adjust pricing big time.

Exactly. No reputable refiner (a real refiner that actually refines, not another middle man) will take less than 40,000 lbs.
There are many middle man that pose as refiners. It is simply not ecomomical to process, properly sample and refine small lots of a few thousand pounds.
There are very few true refiners for ewaste. If I had those kind of quantities, I would probably go to Xstrata or Umicore.

    Easy,

Do you think this was a random bad assay? When are you sending in your next load to see if there is a trend?

I do not think it was a bad assay as I knew it was going to come in low due to gold drop and people have been sending me colored boards and not as many green boards I would hope. For that reason I may have to change my pricing on how I buy boards to cover that as much as I would hate to do so.
