Gold plated CPU's! (and lots of them)

Well, maybe not a ton. But here are the 'eye catcher' CPU's that I've pulled from computers in the last few weeks:

The one has a heatsink that seems to be IMPOSSIBLE to remove. I haven't tried everything, but I've tried a lot....any suggestions? Are these all worth 386/486 grade?

Yes...pinless...but look at all that gold! The little trays they sit on seem to be gold pins all the way through. Any idea what these are worth? 386/486? And the little trays are gold plated connectors? These can't be pinless grade, no way!
Yeah that's great and all...but...CAN I SCRAP IT!?

Thank you! VERY helpful! The one that you said looks like a 486...I want to say that came out of a cable box or a flat screen tv. I know that seems unlikely, but I remember being supprised when I pulled it.

Yes, it is a ford tailgate lol.

Yes sir you can scrap it. Follow the link in the post above to my website and contact me via email. Nice looking chip's.

To get the heat sink off the chip take a screw driver or chisel at one of the corners and between the heat sink and chip and tap down on the chisel lightly with a hammer and they will seperate.

grandkids just went back home. i am still buying. tho i have cut back some. might be old age creeping up. or just lazy. probably lazy. if the price would drop a couple hundred more i might get more active.

if the price runs back up, i have a couple thousands pounds you might be interested in.

I would say a combination of all of the above. But as I get older I like to blame it on wanting to spend more time with the family.

That would be great just let me know when you want to work on it, know hw to get hold of me.

Umm... can I ask what happened to my post (was originally post #2)? I answered the OP's question about grading the chips (what most of them were), and posted some info on price reference to selling them... now my post is not there. If a mod modifies a post for some reason, can't they just edit the post and say something like "content removed for x-reason" instead of just delete it so at least I get some credit as trying to help someone? I'm guessing it was because of the link I posted to BarrenRealms007's chip site, but they could have just removed that link!

I guess they thought we were working together and you posted the link for advertisement for me. That is not the case here. I followed the link from my website to here when it showed up on my report information. In my profile settings where I put my web page address the mod's removed that link as well. I did enjoy the amount of traffic coming from here before they changed these two things tho . I'll get my subscription paid to become a full member and then you can have the honors of reposting the answer and the mod's will probably leave it. I'm sorry they did that to you.
