    The fasia's probably sheet Ali, the bits around the 'volume control' are probaby Brass and if you make one slice directly into the end of each Copper loop you could pull them out since theres no varnish insulation holding them in.
    If there is, slice the end off the loop flat with the side of the Iron core and use a punch an hammer to punch them out.

    When using a grinder to cut those loops, use the standard 3mm thick cutoff discs, the ultrathin ones don't have the sideways strength to hold together and break/ crack around the boss, dangerous. 3mm's cheaper anyway, it removes a little more Copper though, hence the try and do it with one cut per loop approach.
