might be quicker and all that jazz, but like KZ said..I smash them for the therapeutic factor..something about smashing things is relaxing when your in this line of work..lol.

An just cause of the OP's avatar...I will end this post with...Lok'tar Ogar! My fellow gamers will understand...the rest..just chalk it up to my usual crazy self. :P

I also cut the windings across the outside & then peel the copper right off..... but I don't use no grinding wheel that close to either of the only two hands I'll ever have.

A bit slower, but (knock wood) still got all my fingers.

Correct. I am holding it in my hand, without any gloves. You can wear gloves if you feel it necessary. If you don't put pressure on your grinder and let the grinder do the work, you have a far better chance of not losing control of your machine. Also alot less wear and tear on your disc.

It is therapeutic but in the same light, how many other things do we already smash and bash with a variety of "weaponry"? Myself personally, I would rather take an 8 lb sledge or maul to a fridge for therapeutic reasons.

    Zugzug!

I should have added that this is not for everyone, but it is the easiest way I have found to do it, and less time consuming. What is preached here so often is that 'Time is Money'.
