    I've broken a few of those units down. I currently have the 3 tubes out of the biggest Sony unit I've ever seen. Each one of the tubes has a big cast aluminum reservoir attached to hold the oil. (they also had 3 yokes and 3 fat degaussing cables, too!). I've saved the lenses, they are super thick magnifying glasses. I've been too lazy to research if there's a market for them, but I'd bet somebody would pay a few bucks for them.

    Careful where you leave those laying around as the sun shining thru them could torch something. Ask any ant.
