    My Junk Rooms

The IT company I work for does a lot of business with churches. Its easier for them to contract me instead of paying a full IT guys salary so it saves them money in the long run. Its these customers that I have been helping them clean out their "junk" rooms a little bit at a time and they are happy and I make some side money so its a win-win. Here is a picture of what most of these rooms look like.

I have already cleaned out 12 p2's and p3's out of this room. Mainly I go for the easy stuff first then I'll get down to all the rest of it like wire and testing things like monitors later. Each room as I clean it up I stack all the stuff that I can't take neatly over to the side and it really makes them happy to have the room cleaned up and organized. I only pick a few things up each trip and break them down in my spare time but I should have my first shipment ready to go in a few days. I bought a Weighmax scale last week that was talked about on the forums and it has been working like a champ.

Here is another customers junk room.

This one I haven't touched yet but that same customer has 2 more just like it in other parts of the building. I know eventually my steady supply of junk will run out once I have cleaned it up but I'm working on a few others.

I have ended up with three fully functioning servers that I replaced and I have to find an outlet for. The only reason they were taken out was I can't have them doing a mission critical function if they are over 3 years old. I'm starting to end up with things that have a more than scrap value but are slower to move so its slowed me down a little. My next adventure in a few days is my first trip to the scrap yard with all my ferrous and non-ferrous. Right now I'm boxing my first 80-90 pounds of ewaste up to send off. Then I'll spend more time going over the old threads about each metal to help me organize it so I dont look like a fool or get taken advantage of when I take it to the yard.

Really just wanted to say thanks for all the information yall share and show you what I am doing with it.
