    Just remember that you're fortunant to still have your dad around to argue with! That's something a lot of us don't have anymore.

    I appreciate him, and that's why I shut my mouth and started tearing stuff down. I'm actually very lucky, because he isn't my dad at all. He's my mom'ss 3rd husband. He raised me and was there for me after my dad died when I was 14.....So I get a 2nd go round. And I don't take that for granted at all.

    Be sure and let him know that. As a step-father of two, I can tell you how much it means to hear that you're appreciated, especially after they battled you through their teen years. My adopted son now tells his mother he wants to be just like me (!!) and the stepdaughter shocked me when she kissed my cheek when we were talking across a parking lot. That - after years of hearing how much they hated me.
    People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.
