    Yea, they probably don't want the magnetron with the Beryllium oxide still on it. The dust from a broken beryllium chunk can be dangerous to breathe. The most common colors are white and pink.

    Thanks Mechanic, That's what I thought. Just wanted to be sure. Actually, that's where I get most of my magnets! Just wasn't sure if that was what worrying them. Always good to double check tho

    Here is what I do, I separate the transformer looking thing from the finned part then throw the transformer thingie in with the transformers. When I tried to sell them whole my scale guy pulled them out of the transformer bucket and handed them back. I was told to take the beryllium and wrap it in a plastic baggie and carefully put it in with the trash.

    what the value of it

    Hey thanks for sharing that info, I always wanted to know what was in a MICROWAVE Dam that thing can roast my hotdog pretty dam good..

    Ok question is, what is the value of it does anyone buy it, how does it get dispose of and Please don't say chcuk it in your scrap pile. YIKO.
