    I brake down vcr's all the time and find them easy to do. Some times getting the tape drive thing out can be a pain but most of the time it takes 5-10 min. The main motor only has three screws and the other motor only has two screws. I also get a pretty good price for low grade boards. Some of the older vcr's have a 1or2 lbs transformer.
