Ok im guilty of breaking off the yokes if there is not SS clips holding it there. Anyone got a trick? cause those suckers dont wanna move off there
Yah, the yoke assemblies that have epoxy injected into them to hold them in place are a pain. I just removed four today. I took them off the CRTs in pieces. After removing metal banding around the yoke assembly, I gently forced a large flat head screw driver in between the two ferrite pieces and turned the screw driver (like I was removing a screw) to pry the two outer pieces apart. Once I had the outer pieces off, I pried the the rest of the yoke assembly off from the bottom (the edge closest to the screen). I worked my way around slowly, only using just enough pressure/torque. I wear safety glasses, but I think a face shield would be a good idea.
